Married Nov. 28, 1964

The wedding cost $500, they had little money. They got married when they did because my Dad was drafted to serve with the Army Corp of Engineers in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. This photo was taken July 19, 2024. The photo was fading, I suggested to my Mom she move it further away from the window.

Flaine, France @1976. Learning to ski. We lived in Wimbledon, London at the time, so we often travelled around Europe.

Photos I took at 7 years old.

Wimbledon, London, @1978. My friend Danny (older kid) from California next to his parents Jaguar. This is the cul-de-sac that we played in.

“Winky” the squirrel in our backyard. My school, the American Community School was behind our yard, where kids from all over the US went to school, from transplant families. We lived in London because Exxon had sent my Dad there.

My brother and I @1977. I would climb the tree behind the fenced in garbage area often.

Mom @2002/2003, my trip to Europe as an adult.

Baldwin, MD @2002, I rented a house on a 350 acre farm.

Monument Valley, UT, Dec, 2001. Drove out to CO, then Mom and Dad drove with me to UT, then I drove back East.

August 15, 2006 - 175 mile one day solo bike ride

Orient and Montauk Pt Ride June 16, 2007

NJ Loop Ride June 17, 2006

Rode from Chelsea to western NJ, then back east to Great Adventure, where Heather picked me up.
This ride was on my previous aluminum frame Fuji bike that I bought in south Jersey and had for a couple of years.

Rte 9W Century July 8, 2006

Rode north on 9W for 100 miles. Heather picked me up. One of the few long distance rides that wasn’t as fun as I’d hoped.

June 30, 2007 - 200 mile one day solo bike ride; Lakehurst to Cape May, NJ and back.

Bought Cannondale April 12, 2007 at Sid’s Bike Shop in Chelsea. It’s a carbon frame. Mom and Dad had similar bikes with an aluminum frame.
Did 200 mile ride June 30, 2007.
Avg speed 18.3mph for first 100 miles, 17.8 mph for 200 miles.
I left Chelsea at 4am, all the clubs were letting out and there was a bit of traffic leaving Manhattan. I was a little worried about starting late.
I parked the car at a ShopRite parking lot, and left.
Mom and Dad were living in West New York at the time, and I remember Dad saying, “I don’t know how you did that.”
It has been my longest one day ride.

Before iPhone’s, I would carry paper maps in my saddle bag and make a handlebar ‘cheat sheet’ map. The Giro de Italia is from when Mom and Dad visited that event.

December 3, 2003. Solo trip to Key West

Apparently I camped one night, I have no memory of that.

My F2 surfboard, road bike and mountain bike.

My 2001 VW Golf GTI VR6. Bought it in Maryland. Sold when I moved full-time to Manhattan. Purchased next car when we bought the cabin in 2016.

Paris Marathon, April 2008

Providence, RI Ironman 70.3, July, 2008 with Mom and Dad’s 2000 Audi TT I borrowed because I didn’t own a car because I lived in Manhattan. They must’ve just moved back from Woodland Park, CO.

Did this a couple weeks before our wedding to Indonesia.

Portfolio Photos 2004-2005

Pikes Peak. Mom and Dad lived not far from it in CO.

Collegic Range, CO. We would see these mountains west of us on the horizon driving from Woodland Park to Breckenridge to go skiing.

Christmas, Pikes Peak
